         I try  but  see no bright

         I believed and tried to perceive                                                               

Lord You said, ‘I want a righteous soul!’

         Yet, gave the beast power to hunt me whole

Lord You said, ‘I shall be with you!’

        Why tread through hell seeking for You?

Lord You said, ‘I have plans with future and hope!’

         I see beggars and the rich, Lord what is Your scope?

Lord You said, ‘You shall come like a thief!’

         I am uncertain of my readiness for this sweet relief

Lord You said, ‘I shall grant you eternal life!’

        Still, when I reach my peak You take me away

But Lord You said that Your word is true

      And I say, ‘I will have faith, see me through.
