THE IMMORTALS

Kenya is our country
The immortal never at all dies
Just takes in all those lies
Lays back and shuts his eyes
They have come too far to die
So they hold back their tears
Put a block on their ears
For long a life, now years

We are victims of human guile
Desperate and drowning in our bile
Lost and betrayed in smooth style
Our rights be our permit to die
Toss dice to gamble our freedom
So our ruin be our wisdom
Poor democratic slaves of our kingdom

Our bullets strike through our soul
We insult and injure, tears roll
Ladies laid, toddlers maimed, adults crawl
But our spirits never let us die
Albeit our myriads of taunting misery
We amaze at our inner mystery
We the immortals, never just die.
