ADNAN'S ESCAPADES

I'll deviate from my usual poetry  a little to this because it's worth it. So I told my student, Adnan Essak (12 year old, Grade 6) at Taleem Ul Islaam Academy, that he can be the best writer if he wanted to. He doesn't believe me just yet, or perhaps doesn't believe in himself. So we decided to go this way. Please read and enjoy Adnan's Escapades and be part of an interesting journey of writing growth for my little genius boy.

MAASAI MARA VENTURES

Last weekend Adnan and family traveled to Maasai Mara. He took time to come up with this descriptive composition capturing some of the epic moments and lessons from the trip. If this doesn't make you wish to visit Maasai Mara, then the Wild Beast migration won't.

Did you know that lions are the only cats that live in groups called prides? A pride has many females, their cubs and a few males. The females do most of the hunting. The males eat and sleep all day. Female lions hide in the jungle when giving birth.

Giraffes have long neck which helps them to eat from the trees. Their long legs help them to kick their enemies. 






Elephants have long, strong trunks to help them as hands to eat their food. Elephants are huge and strong . 96 elephant are killed every day for their tusks.




Rhinos have two horns to protect them from any kind of harm . Did you know that there are only 2 white rhinos left? Sometimes humans can be monsters.




Cheetahs' colour on the skin helps them to camouflage with the grass when hunting for their prey.Cheetahs' are 240 times faster then the fastest man on earth.

    Really amazing writing and information, some that I didn't even know. Keep up the good work! You can actually be an amazing writer, never give up and you'll see everything that seems impossible will begin to seem possible.

    This is one of the greatest piece of work I have read this year. Did you just say that Adnan is 12? I wish to read many of his published books in the near future. I have learnt that lioness hide while giving birth courtesy of Adnan.Good work Adnan and keep it up.

    Wow😮,good job Adnan. I truly can't believe that you are 12 years old. The fact that you decided to begin with a rhetorical question is a great way to make us hooked to your writing. The way you are using descriptive language, visual imagery and short sentences is amazing. You are absolutely incredible young man. Kudos 👏
